ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!

We are excited to announce that Framework Charity is an official Local Charity Partner for the Robin Hood Marathon 2024, and we are searching for a team of determined individuals to take part and fundraise for us. From seasoned athletes to those seeking to take on a new challenge, the marathon is suitable for runners of all levels.

Half-Marathon

Taking place on Sunday 29th September, the Robin Hood Half Marathon is a single lap, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course. This picturesque route takes you along Victoria Embankment, past Nottingham Castle, near the Robin Hood Statue, through the Nottingham Park Estate and through Wollaton Park where you're bound to spot some deer roaming. We finish on Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground next to the River Trent.

Mini Marathon

Don’t fancy the half marathon? Why not enter the mini marathon! This course is 1.5 miles (2.5km) and largely follows the beautiful River Trent and finishes in front of huge crowds in the race village.

This race is open to everyone over the age of 4 years old. Any child aged 10 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who must also enter the race separately via the Robin Hood Marathon Events website. Under 18s will need to have an appropriate adult with them on race day at the event site.

Why Framework?

We’re a charity that supports people in need – people affected by homelessness, physical and mental ill-health, unemployment and social exclusion. We help people to address the challenges they face and empower them to build better, more independent futures. Your support helps us to:

• Get people off the streets
• Prevent people from becoming homeless in the first place
• Develop people's confidence and their self-esteem
• Support people to learn new skills and find employment

What’s Included?

All our runners will receive:

• A fundraising pack
• A charity running vest to wear on the day
• Support during and after the event
• A big congratulations from our staff and volunteers on race day
• Opportunity to join Team Framework Whatsapp chat before race day to share details of the day, fundraising tips and connect with fellow runners
• A finisher’s medal

In return, we ask that you commit to fundraise a minimum of £150 for us. £150 could provide 3 move-on packs for someone settling into their first home.

How To Enter

There are two ways you can join us at this event:

Get A Charity Place

We have 15 Half Marathon places and 5 Mini Marathon places for people who want to fundraise for Framework. These places will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. Register by clicking ‘Register Now’ at the top right corner of this page. Once you have registered, we will be in touch with your unique code to sign up with your full details via www.robinhoodhalfmarathon.co.uk. This code will grant you a free ticket on their website.

Use Your Own Place

If you have already secured your space in the Robin Hood Marathon 2024 and would like to fundraise for Framework, you can do this by clicking 'Register Now' at the top right corner of this page. Complete a registration form as an 'Own Place Runner' and you will then be directed to setting up a fundraising page.
